The constant hammering from the sheds in the area led us to beautiful metalwork, with each stop offering new designs. I had always liked the idea of using metal art for decorating however when I found a piece in the store there never seemed to be anything special about it. When I saw this piece and the read how it was handmade in Haiti with recycled materials I was instantly drawn to it. I bought this double tree of life for myself and my husband as our wedding anniversary gift and it is just beautiful. It has special meaning because it is supporting recycling efforts in another country and is an interesting conversation piece. It also goes very well with my modern decor. Unique and Beautifully done. This turned out to be perfect for the area I needed to use it in. It’s a real conversation piece and is something you don’t find at any store in my area. I like that it also helps a poor country like Haiti create jobs for its citizens. I was a bit nervous to order a piece of art online, but this metal sculpture really spoke to me. I love that it was made in Haiti and would help, in one small way, the devastation that has been there since that horrid earthquake. I was drawn to the botanical feel of the piece. The birds and trees wrapped together. It arrived yesterday and it is AWESOME! I love the finish on it. I love that it wasn’t stamped out on a machine. You can feel the love that has gone into this piece. It will mean so much to her. This is a very lovely piece. The image is detailed and pleasing. I was a little concerned about the metal scratching my wall, I put small sticky felt’dots’ on the back at strategic locations. As a previous purchaser noted there is no hanging wire but there are holes at sites of birds eyes that work perfectly. The construction is sturdy. Nice addition to a blank area! This’Tree of Life’ is good-looking. It’s just different and we like it a lot. Beautiful work of art. They are beautiful pieces are art! I really like the natural color of this piece and it was the perfect size for hanging in our new room. It was very light so it was also easy to hang up. It did not have a thin wire on the back for hanging but it is so light that it wasnt necessary. It is a very pretty unusual piece and I like that it was handmade. I would recommend it…..
